...and surely we can make our computers better for our bodies! I can't believe half the world now sits in front of their screens for so much of the day, wrecking their bodies... Why don't we have computers that relate to human movement. Those gloves in Minority Report were pretty cool... that's the sort of thing we need.
Well how's it going for everyone in the Age of Technology?
Do you think people will look back with amusement on this era? We all seem to be fumbling around with cords and gadgets and technology that we only ever half understand (at best) and that often lets us down.
I'm sitting here tonight trying to pick up digital TV on my laptop, holding a funny little USB antennae vainly up, trying to catch some digital waves, with no luck. My wife is struggling with the DVD player and a remote that isn't operating properly.
What sort of gadgets will they have in the future? I can only imagine there will be better integration between devices and hopefully devices that can interact better with humans.
Something like the iPhone is a good start. A device that is a whole bunch of things, and also operates in a (fairly) easy-to-use way.
I love my automatic car lock from my keyring... why can't you get that sort of thing for your house too? What I'd like is an electronic device that I can click once when I'm leaving the house and it not only locks the door but also turns off all non-essential appliances. Surely this will be a standard device in years to come.
